TutorAI Marketplace
An AI-matched tutor marketplace with its own teaching intelligence layer
What this system does
TutorAI Marketplace connects students with tutors and then goes further than a typical booking marketplace by giving tutors an AI teaching assistant. A lesson architect drafts lesson plans, a lesson studio helps tutors deliver them, a homework generator creates practice sets, and a student memory layer keeps track of what each student has covered so lessons build on each other instead of repeating. Tutors can choose between a locally-run model or a hosted provider (Claude, Gemini, or OpenAI) depending on cost and privacy needs.
What needed solving
Booking a tutor is easy to find platforms for, but most of them stop at scheduling and payment — the actual lesson planning and continuity between sessions is still entirely on the tutor, done from scratch each time.
How this system solves it
A marketplace that still handles matching and booking, but adds an AI teaching layer on top: a lesson architect to draft plans, a homework generator, and a memory layer that keeps track of what a specific student has already covered.
Built into the system
AI lesson architect
Drafts structured lesson plans a tutor can edit before a session.
Homework generator
Creates practice sets based on what a student has already covered.
Per-student memory
Keeps context across sessions so lessons build on prior progress instead of repeating.
Switchable AI providers
Tutors can run a local model or a hosted provider depending on cost and privacy needs.

What it's built with
Walking through the flow
A student books a tutor through the marketplace like any booking platform. Before a session, the tutor can ask the lesson architect to draft a plan, which pulls from that student's memory record so it builds on prior sessions instead of repeating them. After a session, the homework generator can produce practice material based on what was covered. Tutors choose which AI provider handles this — a locally-run model for cost/privacy, or a hosted provider (Claude, Gemini, OpenAI) for capability.
This system is actively being built. Core pieces work; some areas are still in progress.
